Kitchen accessories like dinnerware, glassware, the bakers rack, wine rack, the breakfast barstools, the plants and of course--the decorative kitchen towels--all add to the overall look and feel of the space. When I lived out West, I used to have a kitchen with a southwestern theme, and I sponge-painted chili peppers in a border along each wall. I received chili pepper hand towels often as gifts, and they looked great and really helped accessorize the kitchen well! I have purchased many sets of kitchen towels with unique designs or motifs for gift-giving. I absolutely love the brightly-colored ones with big contemporary shapes such as circles, rounded corner rectangles and polka dots. They have a retro look and feel and really help brighten up the room. I've also purchased contemporary towels with embroidered cocktails, umbrella drinks, cool flowers, and fruit. It's all in the design--for example, a fruit graphic can look either really old-fashioned or hip and fresh.
Decorative kitchen towels make great gifts for Mothers, or for anyone looking to carrying out a decor theme, or add a splash of color or design throughout the kitchen. What a surprisingly neat, affordable and fun gift!
