Homemade Cards or Gift Tags - Creatively write messages and draw pictures on white cardstock using any art supplies you'd like. You can make the cards or gift tags any size. A huge, oversized card is always fun (11 x 17" folded in half), and is a great size for displaying. Cool gift tags cut into any shape--especially animal shapes--make unique and memorable gift tags.
Homemade Calendar - If you go to a copy shop like Kinko's, they can help you make a hanging monthly calendar in the typical 9 x 12" format. They'll put together a calendar for the entire year with a blank page on top of each month. Children (young and old) can then lend their artistic talents to draw pictures of Mom, the family, landscapes, still lifes or any other type of artwork.
